She expressed her concerns for the teams’ wellbeing. More work less time. More expectations less support.
Asking if only for more empathy and ways to help with team’s morale and workload. His response was to bemoan that he too was the same.
Benefit of the doubt to him. Perhaps he was being vulnerable, being emphatic or has his hands tied. No difference could he make.
Yet so different a response from another who actually sought to understand the well being of the team and responded with, “I’m am really sad to hear that and I am going to do something about it.” And she did.
