Insights on people in leadership position

Let me share some observations about people in leadership position

1️⃣It is lonely up there because there are a lot of things they may not be able to share and the people they can trust is limited

2️⃣It is scary because decisions they make have impacts on a lot of people and not everyone is going to be happy with the decisions whichever decisions they make.

3️⃣There are a lot of personal sacrifices along the way whether it is family, well being, time, finances etc

4️⃣They take on a lot of risks because they are ultimately responsible for many things.

5️⃣They have the same insecurity, fear of failure, anxiety that you and I have.

When you next interact with people in leadership position, keep this in mind, they are humans too just like you and I.

Your empathy will take you a long way in your relationship with people in leadership positions.
