Are you busy building trust?

His diary was full but she manages to find a small sliver of time to get him up to speed with the project.

She was about to launch into all in her list. He stopped her and said, “I just want to check in how you are.” Her smile falters and her brow furrows.

He said, “Ok give me a minute. I’m going to move meetings in my diary so we can talk.” He listened to her worries and the problems she was having.

They worked through together what he could support her on and what she can do. Lastly he reassured her that they are in it together. He was busy but at that point in time her well being was the most important thing to him.

We are all busy but in building trust it is about being there where it matters most.
