Is she always so articulate?

She came across so confident and articulate. When she spoke the room felt her passion and her compassion. They assumed that she was always naturally like that. What they did not know was there was a time where she was so very afraid.

She was afraid that people would think she has a funny accent and they would laugh at her. She was afraid that people would not understand her and think of her as stupid.

Till one day she pivoted her mind to focus on improving herself and away from what she thought others thought of her. So she started to prepare a lot for every meeting, thinking about what was the one headline message for her audience to take away and 3 sub headline messages. She backed it up with context, data and nuance.

Simplicity and always from the heart were key. Others can laugh at her or judge her. But she holds her own.
