3 ways to get smart with money
I was pregnant with our first child. Hubby called to say that he has been made redundant. I went into pre mature labour the next day. 🚑
That was how we started our journey into parenthood.
There was the high hospital bill and I made a choice to save money on pain killers. Bad choice, nearly passed out from pain. 😵
The anxiety that we will have more expenses with less income. How does such a tiny human cost so much??? Diapers, formula, clothes ...
But this was also the part of our life that we got really smart with money
🔹Research for anything free - toy libraries to borrow toys, Outdoor cinemas (yes it’s older movies but it’s still entertainment and so much more pleasant with kids that can’t sit still)
🔹Have benchmark for what is good value, pre Covid it’s 50cents per roll of toilet paper is good buy, meat no more than $10 per kg, rice $1 per kg
🔹Electric pressure cooker was our best friend as we can make yummy low cost meal in a jiffy for our busy life $10 a meal and saved on electricity.
What other money hack do you use?
