Pay it forward

She kept her head down and worked hard. After all diligence will surely shine through. Listened more than speak. There maybe wisdom to learn from those who had traverse the path before her.

But in this new country, the rules of the game were different. All that she grew up learning, now an unconscious barrier that held her back.

Frustration, disappointment and at times even sadness.

But along the way were mentors who generously shine through the fog with their counsel.

Mentors who believed in her and gave her the boost in self confidence that she too can make it. Mentors who held their hands out to pull her up when she fell.

To them she is forever grateful. The best she could reciprocate their kindness is to pay it forward.
