The Oscars of PwC- Edwin Flack Award

I came to this country with nothing but 2 suitcases in tow. Nervous as I walked through the doors of PwC Australia 17 years ago feeling so so very small.

And as many of you would know my story in Australia is one of an international student struggling with English, of a migrant navigating the cultural nuance and of part time working mum juggling big dreams for herself and her family.

And last night I was on stage in a room full of partners humbly and delightfully receiving the Edwin Flack Award - People Category 🏆

for outstanding achievements and service.

This is the Oscars of PwC!

One of the highlights of the night was when Sue Horlin, Managing Partner, Sydney said

“As leaders of today, we are the custodians to leave a better future for the next generation.”

And that has never rung more true in my heart.

As I have received from leaders before me I am sharing all that I’ve learned over the years with you, so you can take it forward for yourself and pass it on to the next generation.

We leave the world a better place than we received it - that’s Legacy.
