Boss is not listening
“ARRRGGHHH…. if Boss had just listened to what I have said in the beginning, I wouldn’t have had to do all this work that he wants me to do just ended up to where I said we should be. Wasted so much time!”
Sometimes in guiding bosses, one of the way is to let them to learn from their own mistakes (which they will not admit and that is ok).
And we have to learn to let go and be patient with them as they get up the learning curve. The caveat here is that there are no serious implications.
If your boss ended up at the same outcome that you have the foresight for, all your work done is not wasted.
Boss will know better
You have gained his/her trust
Boss is more likely to listen in the future
And patience has its reward
